This is one to keep in the diary.

The Royal Academy of Music (RAM) is organising a family workshop for the younger ones and their adults on Saturday, 28 May 2015 at 10am and 11.30am in the Museum Piano Gallery.

The listing states:

Musical travelling boots at the ready: off we go! Join workshop leader Neil Valentine to follow the journeys of superstar violinist Yehudi Menuhin and his musical friends, with many different styles and musicians including Stéphane Grappelli and Ravi Shankar. We will explore classical, jazz, Indian and folk music to compose and perform our own exciting mash-up inspired by these incredible musical journeys.

Tickets are available from Wednesday 18th April via the Academy’s Box Office on 020 78737300 (open weekdays 10am to 4pm). Costs are child £5, adult £3.

The Academy is on Marylebone Road, London NW1 5HT (almost next door to Madame Tussauds). See HERE for travel options.
