Free Computing Classes

startcoding

The Turinglab team from my favourite university, Imperial College, has started the ‘recruitment’ process for the 2017 ten-week FREE computing/coding classes commencing in September.

Classes run on Saturdays for an hour and a half, and both levels (Explorers and Ignite) introduce and develop programming and scripting skills for the creation of apps, games, animations, etc.

According to the website, “Many of our students use our classes for the skills section of their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, and some go on to take GCSE Computing.”

For more information plus booking details, go HERE.

Locations are in London (Imperial College), Leeds and Manchester.
Dates are:
September: Saturday 23rd, 30th
October: Saturday 7th, 14th (Half term 21st, 28th – No class)
November: Saturday 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
December: Saturday 2nd, 9th.

Due to the popularity of Imperial’s offerings, it’s almost impossible to comment on the availability of these classes; if your children are interested in computing and you manage to get places in London, we’ll see you there.
